Aimara’s Sire Singing Herbstglanz has some of the most amazing bloodlines being by the stallion Arentino out of the wonderful Premium mare Herbstwolke.

Singing Herbstglanz is exactly what we always thought we would breed when seeing his mother at the auction in Neumunster Germany. Herbstwolke was specially chosen for Arentino and these two wonderful horses bloodlines just worked so well together. In 2007 we took Herbstglanz up for his grading and was delighted when he was approved by the English Trakehner Society as a fully licence stallion. Herbstglanz is our second colt to grade (Singing Horatio, now owned by Keating Stud in Stratford, graded in 2006) and out of Arentino’s second English crop of foals.                                                                                

Herbstglanz got very high marks for movement and one of the German judges said it was very rare to find a horse of his quality with three outstanding paces. He has tremendous power and is very uphill and this son of Arentino really is very special and is one to look out for, for the future.  

Herbstglanz’s Sire Arentino was competed in Prix St. George dressage and did also really well in show jumping. Arentino’s Sire Premium stallion Santiago by Wie Ibikus and out of the foundation mare Schwalbelied was Champion of his grading in 1980 and was a very substantial big framed grandson of the legendary stallion Ibikus, which went on to become a very good show jumper. Wie Ibikus himself produced a big number of high successful dressage horses competing up to Grand Prix. Santiago produced some outstanding broodmares and the value can be seen in his offspring’s competition results. 

Arentino’s Dam Elite mare Arktis II presents herself as one of the valuable broodmares of the Trakehner breed, being a full sister to the stallion Arogno, sire of the stallions Schwadroneur (now dead) and Anky’s stallion Partout. Arktis’s offspring are doing well in 3-day event and dressage competing in Prix St. Georges.

Herbstglanz’s dam Herbstwolke is a dynamic filly with a tremendously swinging and almost ostentatious movement due to her impressive conformation.

The modern pedigree combines the mare families of Donau and Herbstlicht and her dam produced the approved stallion Heidsieck by Tanzmeister in 1999, which has started a very promising dressage career. 

Future jewel for dressage and breeding, Herbstwolke had a wonderful combination of the genes of the leading sires Sixtus, Kennedy, Michelangelo and Ibikus. If you look into the 3^rd generation you will also find outstanding bloodlines for dressage and for high level breeding too. 

Donauwalzer was awarded a premium at his grading and is the most impressive son of Elite stallion Sixtus. This wonderful chestnut stallion is very noble, athletic and shows the most powerful and elastic trot with a wonderful walk and uphill canter. His mother Donauflut by Ibikus is one of the youngest of her legendary father and founded her own branch of the famous Donau-family. Grandmother is Donauflamme a very typical daughter of the world famous sire Habicht. Donauwalzer represents an outstanding line breeding to Ibikus and to Habicht, two of the most famous sires for breeding and competition within the last 50 years.   

Michelangelo founded besides Mahagoni the second line of the unforgotten Pastur xx. Inselkonig who was a popular Sire in the Hannoverian breed, and the American Trakehner breed too.    

The Herbst-family counts among the most successful, valuable and proven families of the Trakehner breed, producing great Sires such as Herzzauber, Herzkristall, Herzbube, Herbstruf, Herzkonig, Herbststurm and great dressage horses like the Olympic star Hirtentraum. 

Aimara’s dam Aida’s Sire E.H Sixtus was Reserve Champion of his grading in 1991, an international show jumper for Germany during his active career and at this point, sire of 14 approved sons and many high quality brood mares. Sixtus also holds the breed’s highest show jumping index in terms of successfully competing off spring and also has several top event and FEI dressage off spring. Among the many successful sons that Sixtus has, Buddenbrock and Axis seem to be the new generation of Trakehner sports horses. His sire Habicht stands out as the Trakehner breed’s most versatile producer with off spring in all three disciplines at international levels. Among his proven sons, the stallions Seeadler and Cocktail seemed to be the ones with a lot of dressage potential, while his son Windfall has become one of the most successful eventing stallion in the world attending the Olympic for USA no less than three times. 

Aida’s mother Andeer’s sire E.H Stallion Marduc is still, years after his death, a leading dressage horse producer for the breed through numerous daughters and sons. The 3^rd dam Pr.St.u.St.Pr.St Anne Karenina is a full sister to the stallions E.H Arogno and Avignon I and she is also a full sister to our residential stallion Arentino’s dam E.St Arktis II. Anne Karenina is also the dam of the approved son Amatcho. The mare family originates from the Irish TB mare Arcticonius xx, which is one of only three TB mares in the Trakehner breed to have been awarded the Elite title.   

Aimara is just perfect in conformation with three wonderful gaits and has a powerful and elastic trot with a wonderful big walk with good swing in her body with every step she takes and a relaxed ground covering uphill canter all a must for International dressage. Aimara will be sure to go to the very top in dressage with the right rider and to top it all she is just a real beautiful lady with a perfect pedigree for breeding. A special horse with all her quality and she will be staying to join the herd later on and hopefully have children who will have her very amazing quality.
