El Capitan’s dam Ebony was purchased from Germany, as a 3-year old from Neumunster auction and is harmony of breed and gender in type. Exceptional energetic paces characterize this engaging daughter of Grand Prix dressage stallion Enim Pascha. She was reserve champion of the mare performance test at Domselshof and with the impressive combination of some the most noble bloodlines of the Trakehner breed through Maharadscha, Flaneur, Condus, angloarab Ramzes the pure bred Arabians Fetysz ox and Adamas ox. The original family of Elfe presents itself, as one of the most influential bloodlines having produced not only the outstanding Sires Elfenglanz, Elfenspuk and Elitaer, but also high quality broodmares, especially with Etikette and her full sister Eleganz, which was the two founder of the new branches in this old family. Dressage ability is a symbol of this bloodline and we are proud to have a granddaughter of world famous Zauberklang as a member of our herd. Her Dam State Premium mare Ebenmass was one of the top auction mares at Neumunster in 1997 and 2nd Reserve Champion of the 3-year-old mares in the Rhineland. El Capitan’s Sire Arentino was competed in Prix St. George dressage and did also really well in show jumping. Arentino’s Sire Santiago by Wie Ibikus and out of the foundation mare Schwalbelied was Champion of his grading in 1980 and was a very substantial big framed grandson of the legendary stallion Ibikus, which went on to become a very good show jumper. Wie Ibikus himself produced a big number of high successful dressage horses competing up to Grand Prix. Santiago produced some outstanding broodmares and the value can be seen in his offspring’s competition results. Arentino’s Dam E.St Arktis II presents herself as one of the more valuable broodmares of the Trakehner breed, being a full sister to the stallion Arogno, sire of the stallions Schwadroneur (now dead) and Anky’s stallion Partout. Arktis’s offspring are doing well in 3-day eventing and dressage competing in Prix St. Georges. El Capitan is a very proud son of Arentino very correct with excellent movements, born to be a sports horse. |
