It is with great sadness that Unica had to be put
down due to blindness. Unica lost her left eye in an accident in year
2007 and then sadly this year 2009 she went blind in her right eye due
to something getting in and scraping the eye. Thoughts was made to keep
her as she was as we thought she was coping very well, but she began to
become stressed out and the very hard decision had to be made to say
goodbye to this very big, strong and impressive mare. She leaves her
wonderful black filly foal Singing Uzuri behind.
|
| Singing Horatio gets invitation to Burghley stallion parade and is said to be the star of the show. He was stunning and behaved extremely well and had a lot of very good remarks on Horse and Hound chat line of people who where there to see the stallions at the show. |

Singing
Ultraflash and Singing Schwalbertanzer does well at the Arab and
Trakehner show. Schwalbentanzer and his owner Vicky came third in the
dressage competition and also took third and six place in the show
jumping. They looked fantastic and very smart, well done to Vicky and
Tanzer. Ultraflash had his first time out in competition and won all
three classes entered in dressage with scores of 70% and above. He was
ridden by Clair Powell and behaved like an angel and really enjoyed his
outing with so many other horses around. Great job from Clair, both her

Our Premium mare Herbstwolke by Premium stallion
Donauwalzer has died from gastric colic. Herbstwolke was bought from
Neumunster auction in 2001 as a two year old and won eight Championships
and was graded Premium mare here in the UK on her only year out showing.
This is sadly not the first time she had this, as she was found in the
field last year with gastric colic but we managed to get her up and run
it of. This year however, very sadly, no one was there to save her life.
She bred some outstanding foals, which all had her outstanding movements
and quiet and kind temperament. She leaves behind a two month old filly
foal by Arentino (full sister to our graded young stallion Singing
Herbstglanz) and we feel very lucky to still have her and the Chabrol
filly which will join our herd one day and hopefully carry on breeding
the same outstanding high quality that Herbstwolke always did.

| Horatio has his first outing with Laura Keatinge at Solihull and comes fifth in the cross country. Julie `said " Basically the organisers messed up our entries and put us in for the event on the Saturday (but we where already at Solihull with two other horses) they then fitted us in on the Sunday but the times was to tight and they had shut the show jumping and xc before we got there with Horatio so they said we could run HC. Had we known that they where going to convert the scores and place him anyway we would have run him quicker and they would have won" Never mind, we look forward to next time Laura and Horatio is out and about |

Stephanie and Singing Hernando is at it again and
out competing having fun. They went to Priory EC in Farnham where they
where entered in two classes. The first test was ok, Steph tell us, but
Hernando was a bit naughty and bucked a couple of times. Then when the
test was finished, Hernando decided that he had not had enough time to
show all the people watching him enough of himself and refused to leave
the arena to big frustration for Steph. The second test went much better
and the pair scored a very good 64% in the Novice 25 managing only one
buck so a big congratulation to Stephanie and Hernando in their first
competition of 2009.

black strong filly again by Singing Herbstglanz, which has been named
Uzuri, which means beautiful in Swahili.

| Finally a year after winning the right to build a staff house at our yard in Much Marcle on appeal, we get the design approved after four applications. Why it took so long to get a design accepted that even the planners helped design one can only guess. |
